In this months casino news, the co-founder of a men’s mental health support group embezzles £10,000 and evades jail. Aaron Ritchie (pictured above) set up a registered charity called “Men United” in August 2019, but embezzled money to fund a gambling addiction. Ritchie stole at total of £9,792.78 with some of the funds coming from bereaved families of those with gambling addictions. He was ordered to carry out 300 hours unpaid work over the next 3 years and repay £3,000 to Men United.
Betsson notified the UK gambling commission that on the 21st October 2020 it will cease operating many of its brands in the UK, these include; betsafe, CasinoEuro, RaceBets, Jackpot 24/7 & SuperCasino. It said it is downsizing its UK presence, and will focus its UK market with the Rizk brand. The UK only represents 3% of the companies overall turnover.
